Course Introduction

Gain an integrated approach to physiotherapy education and clinical practice. This programme has a strong focus on professional and lifelong learning skills, physiotherapy practice, as well as relevant basic scientific disciplines. Successful completion confers eligibility for state registration to practice physiotherapy and full membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Course Modules

Year 1 examples of modules: Providing client'focussed care; physiotherapy process and practice 1; movement and exercise; understanding musculo'skeletal problems; understanding cardio'respiratory problems; understanding neurological problems. Year 2 examples of modules: Providing effective and client'focussed service; physiotherapy process and practice; spinal pain; cardio'respiratory care; pulmonary rehabilitation; neuro'rehabilitation; movement and control. Year 3 examples of modules: Physiotherapy practice 3A; physiotherapy practice 3B; physiotherapy studies (theory, practice and context); psycho'social aspects of physiotherapy intervention; research in practice; physiotherapy and integrated care; clinical practice.
