Year 1 examples: German language extension course I; translation from and into German I; die sprechstunde (oral language class); musical performance; musical analysis; techniques of composition (harmony and counterpoint). Year 2 examples: Politics and everyday life in 20th century Germany; society, politics and popular culture in Germany after 1870; Germany since 1945 (politics, society, economics); musical performance; musical analysis; techniques of composition (fugue and 19th'century Lieder); free composition. Year 3: Year abroad. Year 4 examples: Society, politics and popular culture in Germany; Germany since 1945 (politics, society and economics); extended essay; advanced performance studies (by audition); advanced free composition (admission by portfolio); techniques of composition III.
