Course Introduction

While the course is practically driven with studio and workshop teaching practice, we also provide the opportunity to examine the historical and cultural context of contemporary art and design disciplines and understand their value in helping to meet the creative and intellectual demands and challenges of this exciting subject area.

Course Modules

Year 1: Typography stage 1; digital interaction and communication; visual studies; packaging and branding; practical illustration; ideas development. Year 2: Typography stage 2; research and referencing; advanced digital communication; portfolio development; professional design practice; digital narrative. Year 3: Ideas and perspectives; experimental communications; digital portfolio; concept development; major project; design portfolio.
