Course Introduction

This course offers specialised training in biomedical science with exposure to leading research scientists, biotechnologists and the pharmaceutical industry. It provides a foundation for a career in drug development and a comprehensive programme in research methodology, the translation of basic research into therapies and the governance and social implications of health research.

Course Modules

Core modules: drug discovery i; drug discovery ii; statistical methods in research; ethics and regulation of research; clinical pharmacology; advanced clinical pharmacology.

Course Additional Entry

A minimum of an upper 2nd Class undergraduate degree in a biological science, medical or healthcare discipline from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard is required.
