This course covers experimental realisations covered include cold trapped ions and neutral atoms; photonic and superconducting qubits. Study focuses on multi'particle coherence and entanglement properties and upon methods for their preparation, control and read'out.
Modules include: quantum optics; quantum information; tools for controlled quantum dynamics; light matter interactions; quantum physics and chemistry of cold matter; advanced quantum information; experimental realisations of controlled quantum dynamics; group laboratory projects.
Course Additional Entry
A 1st Class (1st) Honours degree in physics. Applicants with degrees in other scientific disciplines e.g. engineering, chemistry, mathematics may be considered.
