Course Introduction

This programme develops your knowledge, skills and ability to think critically about working in mental health and mental health research, imparting the professional values and attitudes necessary in health and social care, while also covering a variety of psychological therapy approaches. This pathway focuses on developing an understanding of the main psychotherapeutic approaches available, and the contemporary issues and debates in the psychotherapies field. You will be introduced it the major psychological therapies. Consideration will also be given to the ethical issues and the methodological difficulties associated with carrying out research in this area.
