Course Introduction

The course is designed to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and practical skills, plus an understanding of the role of the human resources (HR) profession (with a focus on the issues and policies that affect international HR managers). The knowledge students gain is relevant to both the strategic objectives of an international organisation and the wider environment in which it operates.

Course Modules

Modules include: Human resource management in context; leading, managing and developing people; investigating a business issue from an human resource perspective; developing skills for business leadership; resourcing and talent management; international and comparative labour law; reward management; international human resource management; research methods; dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree in a relevant subject; or equivalent; or some relevant professional experience and CIPD qualifications to intermediate level; or 2 years' human resource or management experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English require Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, listening, speaking and writing).
