Course Introduction

A Computer Science BSc degree programme with a year at an overseas university on a computer'related placement. Based in central London the degree provides an opportunity to supplement your study with topics that are included in foreign curricula and experience another culture.

Course Modules

Year 1 examples: Programming concepts; programming applications; computer systems I; foundations of computing I; introduction to the theory of computation; introduction to software engineering. Year 2 examples: Foundations of computing II; programming language design paradigms; computer science logic; object'oriented specification and design; systems implementation; computer communications and networking. Year 3 examples: Year abroad. Year 4 examples: Software architecture and design; software engineering of internet applications; science education and communication; computer graphics systems; cryptography and information security; computer architecture; geometric algorithms with applications; artificial intelligence; advanced security topics.
