Our Computer Learning Research Centre is a major contributor to current research into artificial intelligence techniques and applications. Year in industry;students may choose to spend a year in an approved and supervised placement within the IT industry between their second and final year, at firms such as Microsoft, Logica, Unisys, Hewlett Packard and Vodafone. This degree has been accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS), the Chartered Institute for IT. This entitles you to professional membership of the BCS, which is an important part of the criteria for achieving Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status.
