Course Introduction

The programme covers sound theories and marketing practices for a competitive advantage in the work and business environment. Students attend guest lectures by professionals from organisations including YouTube, Twitter, Groupon, Microsoft Technology Centre, and Google. The course covers specialist topics related to e'marketing and social media. In addition to the above, students will study subjects related to entrepreneurship and innovation as well as marketing intelligence. All subject areas feed into applied action research projects (Professional Practice Projects) or the Dissertation, both of which are an extensive piece of original research investigating a specific issue from within the area.

Course Modules

Compulsory: E'marketing strategy; social media strategy; entrepreneurship, innovation and small business management; marketing intelligence; professional practice project or dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

A 2nd Class Honours degree or above in marketing, communications, or a business related field, or an overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification of an equivalent standard is required. Applicants are welcome to apply without formal qualifications but should have extensive marketing experience. Applicants must have competence in English language and grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. The most common English language requirements for international students are IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all 4 components) or TOEFL internet based 87 (with at least 21 in listening and writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading).
