Our Marketing courses will give you a strategic perspective and broaden your understanding of marketing and its integration into corporate strategy and structure. They will prepare you for a variety of careers in marketing management, such as brand management, product development, business'to'business marketing and not'for'profit marketing in agencies or enterprises. The Marketing Management BA Honours will enable you to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities to respond proactively and creatively to contemporary issues in marketing, along with a range of intellectual, professional attributes and transferable skills such as team working, problem solving, research, critical and creative thinking and persuasive communication. You will gain a greater awareness of the global, social and ethical professional environment within which marketers operate. You will also develop the resilience to perform under pressure, the ability to use feedback to find a way through to a successful outcome, and the flexibility to adapt to the rapidly changing world of marketing and its role in society, along with a critical understanding of global diversity in business practice, culture, social responsibility and ethics. Learning takes place through lectures, seminars, workshops, and group working; assessment methods include essays, reports, case studies and exams.

Year 1: Consumer behaviour; perspectives on organisations; principles of marketing; professional competences; the business context; plus 1 free choice module, which could include a foreign language. Year 2: Brands and branding; business research and professional practice; distribution and retail; marketing metrics; marketing research; product portfolio management; plus 1 free choice module. Year 3: Marketing communications; marketing management; marketing planning and strategy; strategic perspectives; plus 2 marketing modules; plus 1 free choice module.
