Course Introduction

The course aims to ensure that students have sound theoretical, evidence'based knowledge to be competent and more advanced practitioners in their chosen field.

Course Modules

Year 1: applied biological and pharmacological sciences for nursing; adult nursing and professional practice; public health and well'being. Year 2: caring for adults with long'term conditions; adult acute and complex care; politics and leadership; dissertation (optional).

Course Additional Entry

A Bachelor degree with a minimum 2.2 classification. Candidates without a health or science related degree are required to complete a Life Sciences work book package to satisfy the Life Sciences element of the APL portfolio. In accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) requirements, Maths and English GCSEs/equivalent (at C or above) are also required.
