Course Introduction

This course is designed to provide economic evaluation skills applied to the health care sector. In keeping with the University's aims to provide high quality, professionally'relevant education, the course offers training both in the conceptual bases for economic evaluation and in advanced quantitative methods relevant to healthcare decision'making at a level that is adequate for both economists and non'economists.

Course Modules

Core modules: quantitative methods; economic evaluation; economic evaluation workshops; welfare economics; health economics; economics research project.

Course Additional Entry

A 2nd Class Honours degree in relevant discipline, or 2nd Class Honours degree in any discipline, supplemented by relevant work experience; candidates who do not possess a degree are considered, providing they have appropriate professional qualifications and/or experience.
