Course Introduction

The course is aimed at several professional groups including HPC registered physiotherapists and podiatrists as well as registered chiropractors, medical practitioners, osteopaths and sports therapists; there is a strong clinical emphasis and all modules involve work'based learning.

Course Modules

Core: Advanced neuromusculoskeletal management of the cervical spine; advanced neuromusculoskeletal management of the lumbar spine and pelvis; dissertation (MSc award only, 60 credits). Options: Advanced neuromusculoskeletal management of the ankle and foot; advanced neuromusculoskeletal management of the elbow, forearm, wrist and hand; advanced neuromusculoskeletal management of the hip; advanced neuromusculoskeletal management of the knee; advanced neuromusculoskeletal management of the shoulder; medical imaging in the management of musculoskeletal pathologies; neuromusculoskeletal triage.

Course Additional Entry

A 1st degree 2.2 or higher leading to HPC, GCC, GMC, GOC, or SOST registration plus 2 years' specialised practice.
