Course Introduction

The course is designed for students from a range of backgrounds including new graduates from life sciences or psychology as well as health professionals with a strong interest in the prevention and management of obesity; those with a suitable background in exercise coaching or working in the private sector health and fitness industry will be able to gain a well'recognised Masters level qualification. The PGDip option (120 credits) is particularly suitable for those interested in updating their knowledge without conducting a research project. Guest lecturers eminent in their field of study and external collaborators from well'known medical schools and nutrition departments contribute to the course.

Course Additional Entry

The programmes will be open to applicants not only with a background in healthcare, medical sciences and life sciences, but also to those from a background in social sciences, psychology, sports and teaching. Health professionals with non'traditional academic backgrounds will also be considered.
