Topics available for research include: gene regulation: in neuronal cells, transcription factors; gene therapy, signals that control neural progenitor cell development; paediatric rheumatic disease; cancer cells: cytoskeleton and oncogenesis; diagnosis and targeted radiotherapy for melanoma; free radical pathology; melanoma; hormones: steroid endocrinology, adrenal disease; original in vitro hormone bioassays, immunoassays; inherited metabolic disease; glycosylation, autoimmunity, diabetes, asthma; viral pathogenesis: HIV, AIDS, AIDS cancers, novel viruses, virus vectors in gene therapy.

Course Additional Entry

Upper 2nd Class Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a UK university; or overseas qualification of an equivalent standard; or appropriate Master's degree.
