Course Introduction

Applicants gain a strategic overview of civil engineering and management issues, and develop a wider perspective and understanding of the issues facing the civil engineering industries, students will also study law, finance, risk assessment, health and safety and environmental issues.

Course Modules

Modules include: Legal obligations; construction organisation; conditions of contract; estimating, purchasing and cost control; quality and safety management; accounting systems; design of steel structures; reinforced and pre'stressed concrete design.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree or equivalent in civil engineering subject, and/or suitable industrial experience; applicants whose 1at language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent with 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in reading, listening and speaking.
