This LCF course addresses the need of the global fashion industry for graduates with an excellent understanding of sourcing, production and management of international supply chains. You have the opportunity to start at undergraduate level and graduate with a Masters qualification within the same course over four years. You will study a number of units concerned with international production management for fashion, as well as subjects that allow you to see your discipline in the broader context of fashion, society and the environment, culminating in your Masters project in your final year. You will undertake live projects with industry and a supply chain management placement, and will be well placed to follow a dynamic and successful career path when you graduate, as you will have acquired skills that make you highly employable in the fashion industry. You will be based at Mare Street in Hackney, near to Victoria Park, London Fields and Broadway Market.
Year 1: Introduction to study in higher education; concept to product (sourcing and development); introduction to cultural and historical studies; product technologies; production management. Year 2: Cultural and historical studies; product economics; research methods for product development; product futures; industry practice. Year 3: Industry challenge; proposal and planning; global contextual studies. Year 4: Research and development; final project.
