Course Introduction

This course engages with the photographic image within the context of a critical understanding of contemporary photography and visual culture. The course covers a broad range of photographic practices and technologies. It provides a thorough understanding of what has become a continuously'developing field of inter'related forms of image production and visual culture.

Course Modules

Modules include: Project 1; photography: philosophies and ideologies; theory/seminar; photo'publishing; project.

Course Additional Entry

A 2.2 BA (Hons) degree or equivalent in a related or appropriate subject; portfolio must be submitted; all candidates are interviewed; applicants whose 1st language is not English require a minimum academic IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in reading, language, speaking and writing).
