Course Introduction

This course is designed to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and practical skills as well as an understanding of the role of the human resources profession, relevant to the strategic objectives of an organisation, as well as to the wider environment in which it operates. Successful completion of the course leads to graduate membership of the chartered institute of personnel and development (CIPD).

Course Modules

Modules include: Human resource management in context; leading, managing and developing people; investigating a business issue from an human resources perspective; developing skills for business leadership; employment law; resourcing and talent management; managing employment relations; reward management; research methods; dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree or an equivalent qualification in business or human resource management; or some experience as a human resource professional and CIPD qualifications to intermediate level; or at least 2 years' human resource/management experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS at 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, listening, speaking and writing.
