Multimedia, the use of graphics, animations, video and audio in a computer environment, is an expanding area in industry. The final year covers technical areas such as the delivery of multimedia content over the internet, and compression techniques, such as MP3 and 3D computer graphics. The programme also involves studying human factors in multimedia, including the principles for designing graphical user interfaces and the study of interactive systems.
