Subject studies focuses on the development of information communication technology (ICT) capability at key stage 3, key stage 4 and post'16. Alongside this, students are expected to develop a personal ICT profile. All aspects of the students' subject knowledge and professional development are carefully monitored at key points throughout the course. The course leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on completion of skills tests.

Course Additional Entry
Degree (2.2 or above) in a relevant subject. GCSE in mathematics and English grade C or above. It is recommended that students undertake at least 2 weeks work experience within a secondary information technology and communication classroom before applying.
