Course Introduction

Research supervision: cognition, brain and behaviour group: attention; cognitive ageing; consciousness; memory and learning; psychopathology and individual differences; neuroimaging; neuropsychology; psychopharmacology; visual perception and cognition; developmental and social processes group investigates: early social development; assessment of children's ability and achievement; bullying in school; grandparenting; theory of mind; developmental disorders and autism; idiot savants; imitation; social cognition and emotion; social influence; peace psychology and terrorism; social identities; occupational psychology and psychometrics group: employee selection and assessment; diversity and performance in the workplace; psychometric theory and practice; human factors with particular reference to age differences in performance; pain at work; occupational health psychology in relation to work design; organisational change and stress management.

Course Additional Entry

1st degree of at least upper 2nd Class standard/Master's degree in an appropriate subject; graduates in an unrelated field may be considered subject to qualifying examination.
