Course Introduction

This degree offers a grounding in economics and business studies combined with an application of these disciplines to the East European region. It provides the opportunity to learn an East European language and to gain deeper insights into the major economic issues involved in the transition from Communism to post'Communism.

Course Modules

Year 1 examples: Introduction to politics; introduction to international relations; principles of sociology; elementary mathematics. Year 2 examples: Topics in microeconomics; European macroeconomics; introductory econometrics. Year 3 examples: Soviet and Russian foreign policy; comparative politics; European security.
