Queen Mary University of London

Course Introduction

Mechanical Engineering will show you not only how parts, machines and systems work, but also how to design and analyse them. These systems could be a power station, a jet engine, a car engine, or even a household object ' the emphasis is on energy and design. If you are on the MEng programme you will work on a group design project in the final year; recent examples include a performance assessment of Britain's Olympic Bobsleigh and the testing of a combustor from a Rolls Royce microgas turbine. The degree programmes are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
