Research areas include testing applicability of eye'tracking and FMRI to translation and interpreting studies: an investigation into directionality; expanding the possibilities of translation memory systems: from the translator's wish list to the developer's design; phraseology in corpus'based translation studies; research interests of staff include audiovisual translation; subtitling, dubbing, voice'over; accessibility to the media; translator training; history of Spain; Spanish cultural studies; translation studies; language change; metaphor in translation; the terminology of translation studies; the nature of the language of translated texts; translator training.
