Course Introduction

This course is made up of a diverse range of businesses operating both on' and off'line, including books, directories and databases, journals, magazines and business media, newspapers and news agencies. At the heart of the sector lies a diverse range of companies that combine creativity, innovation and application with constantly evolving methods of production and distribution.

Course Modules

Modules include: Design thinking and entrepreneurship in practice; managing creativity and innovation; leadership in the creative economy; contemporary issues in the creative economy. Specialist modules: the business of publishing; contemporary issues in publishing; marketing in publishing; editorial production and design for publishing; global rights and international publishing; final project.

Course Additional Entry

A 2nd Class degree or above in a relevant area; 2 years' work experience in the creative industries; interviews; applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5 overall.
