International Business with Arabic BA Honours will enable you to function linguistically in diverse cultural and business situations, and communicate effectively in everyday and work'related situations in Arabic. You will gain the business knowledge, skills and capabilities appropriate to the rapidly changing global, cultural and technological business environment, along with intellectual, professional attributes and transferable skills that will enable you to build your career and add value to an organisation. You will also develop a critical understanding of global diversity in business practice, culture, social responsibility and ethics, and a high degree of proficiency in reading, writing and oral communication between Arabic and English. The course focuses on active student learning through seminars, workshops, problem'based and blended learning, and you will be encouraged to work in groups with other students. Assessment methods include essays, reports, case studies and exams.

Course Modules

Year 1: Behavioural aspects of international business; financial information; professional business competences; the business context; a chosen language specialism. Year 2: Business research and professional practice; global markets; international study abroad preparation; a chosen language specialism; plus 2 option modules in international business and other disciplines, including another language. Year 3: International business learning environment international business project; international trade and finance law; strategic perspectives; a chosen language specialism plus an option module in international business, law, economics or another language.
