Course Introduction

The course provides an in'depth knowledge of advanced skills in product design and development within an engineering environment; it combines: manufacturing technology; mechatronics control; electronic engineering; information technology applications; the use of the latest materials and product design software; and emerging technologies such as advanced web/internet techniques.

Course Modules

Modules include: Integrated computer aided design (CAD)/computer aided manufacture (CAM) systems; advanced materials processing; e'engineering with internet applications; advanced computer aided design (CAD)/computer aided manufacture (CAM) systems; computer aided product design; information systems; research project (MSc only). Optional modules: total quality; finance resource management; industrial systems and management; systems modelling and simulation; business resources management; mechatronics and automation systems; industrial project management.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline; and/or suitable industrial experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.
