This course is provides students with a thorough grounding in theory and practice of educational research, professional competence and transferable employment skills. Students explore professional issues and methodology, developing an advanced understanding of reflective practice and research. Modules focus on professional issues and methodologies relevant to researching professional practice in education. Modules in teaching and learning are also undertaken.
Modules include: professionalism in education; professionalism and professional practice; educational research (philosophy and practice); design and method in educational research; perspectives on teaching and learning; current issues in teaching and learning; research project; thesis.
Course Additional Entry
A Master's level study in education or a related field; be in a professional role in education or training with at least 2 years' experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5 with at least 5.5 in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
