Course Introduction

This programme provides you with a solid foundation in the principles of electrical science, systems and electronics. The programme covers a broad range of topics in electronics, control and programming, including specialisations such as power engineering, electronics and microprocessors and digital signal processing.

Course Modules

Year 1: Introduction to electronic systems; programming fundamentals; telecommunications and internet fundamentals; engineering mathematics; digital circuit design; electric and magnetic fields; intro java programming; professional applications. Year 2: Digital systems design; signals and systems theory; electronic devices and applications; telecom systems; design and build project; microprocessor systems; microwave and optical transmission; internet protocols. Year 3: Project; operational financial management; microwave electronics; integrated circuit design; product development; communcations systems electronic; control engineering components.
