Year 1: The dynamic Earth; historical geology; understanding the environment; investigating the Earth and environment 1; hazards, resources and society; rocks and minerals; geological structures and sedimentary rocks; investigating the Earth and environment 2. Year 2: Geology of Earth resources; structural geology and tectonics; history of life; geoscience fieldwork and techniques; sedimentary environments and basins; igneous and metamorphic petrology; deep Earth processes and interactions; exploration and evaluation techniques. Year 3: Geoscience fieldwork; geological mapping and research project; applied sedimentology; engineering geology and hydrogeology; systematics and palaeontology; planetary magmatism; evolving Earth; applied geophysics and computer modelling; orogeny and mountain building processes; economic geology.
