Course Introduction

The programme equips students with the knowledge, transferable skills and research experience necessary to analyse the complex challenges facing Europe's policymakers today.

Course Modules

Core modules: European union (institutions and politics); public policy economics and analysis; introduction to qualitative methods or advanced qualitative methods; introduction to quantitative methods or advanced quantitative methods; options: policy'making and regulation in Europe; the European union, globalisation and the state; the European union in the world; British government and politics; conflict resolution and post'war development; foreign policy analysis; international trade policy; making policy work; political economy of development.

Course Additional Entry

As a minimum, a strong upper 2nd Class (65 percent) Bachelor's degree from a UK university; a CGPA of 3.45; or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Relevant practical or work experience in a related field may also be taken into account.
