Course Introduction

This course is ideal for students who already hold an engineering degree but would like to broaden and deepen their knowledge of the aerospace industry and gain a strategic overview of aerospace engineering and management issues. It helps students to develop a wider perspective and understanding of the concerns facing the aerospace engineering industry, and includes subjects such as: law; finance; risk assessment; and green environmental issues. Throughout the course, academic teaching is complemented by visits from industry experts keeping students up'to'date with the latest developments.

Course Modules

Modules include: Aerospace design project dissertation; finance resource management; project management; information systems for engineers; legal obligations; e'engineering with internet applications; green engineering and energy efficiency; industrial systems and management; integrated computer aided design/computer aided manufacture systems; total quality; aircraft maintenance and economics; advanced CAD/CAM systems; computational fluid dynamics; further aerospace structures and materials.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree, or equivalent, in aerospace engineering or a related discipline; international students must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent with 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in reading, listening and speaking.
