This course emphasises the theoretical study of education; with up'to'date research and evidence'based information about mathematics learning; teaching; assessment; use of technologies and practice; students reflect on current and future mathematics education practices; policies; mathematics curriculum technologies; problems and innovations.
Course Additional Entry
An Honours degree (2.1 or equivalent); although teaching experience is highly recommended (especially when related to the subject focus of the MA the student is applying for), applicants with an appropriate academic qualification are invited to apply; up to 60 credits from appropriate PGCE study may be recognised as contributing towards this MA.
