Course Introduction

Start the debate. With the BA (Hons) Media Communications you'll focus on the social and cultural impact of digital media forms, examining the technologies, practices and policies that drive modern media communications. Manipulating images, writing in different styles, editing, working with layout software and pitching and presenting ' we cover all these areas so you have applied skills you can take straight into industry. This course is taught at London College of Communication, at Elephant and Castle.

Course Modules

Year 1: Introduction to study in higher education; introduction to media communications; introduction to applied studies; introduction to visual cultural theory. Year 2: Audio/visual critical theory; promotional media and communications; media ecologies research methods; collaborative project; applied media communications. Year 3: Contemporary media practices; work'based integrated project; informational spaces; major project.
