Course Introduction

The course will study the design, development and management of information systems to enable you to recognise and accommodate the increased rate of change and instability in the business and information environment created by social, economic, political and technical changes. You will gain an understanding of how information is used within an organisation, who uses it, the nature of the information, how it relates to decision making and how it contributes to organisational goals and objectives.

Course Modules

Modules include: Managing health services for quality; leading and managing people in health; financial resource management in healthcare; health information strategy and implementation; requirements engineering and management; clinical data management; health information governance (security and privacy issues); research methods.

Course Additional Entry

A Lower 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent; exceptionally, substantial work achievements may be considered; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in reading, listening and speaking.
