Course Introduction

Students on this programme study theology, ministry and professional practice; systematic theology; biblical studies; sociology of religion; moral theology and empirical research methods for the study of ministry.

Course Modules

There are 3 component parts studied sequentially: A taught component consisting of modules on different aspects of theology, ministry and professional practice (e.g. systematic theology; biblical studies; sociology of religion; moral theology and empirical research methods for the study of ministry); the ministerial focused study looks at ministry in practice via an empirically based project; and the research based thesis enables students to explore an aspect of theology and ministry of personal or professional interest.

Course Additional Entry

A Master's degree in a subject related to theology and ministry; 3 years or equivalent experience in the practice of ministry; applicants with a Master's degree in a subject unrelated to theology and ministry may be considered provided they can demonstrate graduate study and relevant experience.
