Course Introduction

This practice'based course helps promote the development of core skills and capabilities in mental health practice and helps students apply new or enhanced skills and understanding to their particular practice areas; the course is informed by the requirements and expectations of the National Service Framework.

Course Modules

Bio'psychosocial approaches to recovery from severe mental illness; research in health and social care; dissertation (60 credit module).

Course Additional Entry

All students should hold a recognised professional qualification at pre'registration level or equivalent and practice in a mental health care setting. PGDip/MSc students will require a first degree or equivalent.
