Course Introduction

This course focuses on the dynamics of creativity, technology and business awareness; students re'examine the underpinning methodologies and ways of working that characterise creative practice in fashion; students gain an in'depth knowledge and understanding of the international fashion business, enabling students to apply and integrate this into the creative design and making process; throughout the course, students develop new experimental approaches to fashion and/or textile design, strengthening their practice and developing new creative, technological and commercial skills.

Course Modules

Modules include: research process; technology issues; business innovation; concept and prototyping; major project.

Course Additional Entry

A 1st or upper 2nd Class Honours degree (or equivalent non'UK qualifications) in a relevant subject, or an equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area. Applicants applying directly from an undergraduate degree course without experience or professional practice must be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the chosen subject area. For applicants whose 1st language is not English, an overall IELTS score of at least 6.5 is required, with a minimum of 6.0 in each section.
