This programme combines a practical approach with sound theory to create a learning experience that is challenging and stimulating; the programme reflects the interfaces between insurance, risk management and financial services, and equips its graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in those industries as risk managers, financial advisers, consultants, underwriters, financial analysts and insurance analysts.
Term1: theory of risk and insurance markets; risk management; principles of finance and financial analysis; insurance law and regulation. Term 2: accounting and financial management in insurance; business organisation and corporate strategy in insurance and financial services; general insurance; risk analysis and modelling plus options.
Course Additional Entry
An Honours degree or an equivalent professional qualification such as FCII, ACII, ACCA or FICS; candidates with significant and relevant work experience in insurance or risk management may also be considered on their merits; GMAT or GRE may also be required in some cases.
