Course Introduction

Marketing is the process by which companies determine what products or services may be of interest to customers, and the strategy to use in sales, communications and business development. In this programme, you will be introduced to the foundation of marketing, the theoretical underpinnings, the marketing mixes, and current issues and future trends of marketing. You will be confronted with a number of relevant issues, including branding, customer relationship management, e'marketing and green marketing. The programme of study is up to date, intellectually inspiring and relevant. We have particular research strengths in international business and strategy, the management of innovation and entrepreneurship, human resource management, corporate governance, sport management and marketing, as well as financial management and accounting. We offer students of all ages and backgrounds a chance to study either part'time or full'time in our department and to gain an internationally recognised University of London qualification.

Course Modules

You take 5 compulsory modules, choose 3 option modules and write a 12,000'word dissertation. Core marketing modules are only available to MSc Marketing suite students: Brand management; consumer behaviour; international digital marketing; international marketing; marketing communications; marketing management; marketing strategy and planning; public relations; relationship marketing; retail marketing; services marketing; strategic sport marketing. For your option modules, you can choose: Marketing communications; international digital marketing; relationship marketing corporate responsibility; international business ethics retail marketing; services marketing.

Course Additional Entry

Normally at least a second'Class Honours degree in any subject area from a UK university or a non'UK equivalent. A professional or other qualification obtained by written examinations approved by the College. Relevant experience, supporting statements and references may be taken into consideration, especially in the case of non'standard applications. If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub'tests.
