Developed by the student in consultation with the head of singing and music, this course provides a solid grounding in the work of a musical director and repetiteur, covering singing, voice preservation, coaching and repertoire; the student may also undertake a placement with a professional theatre.
Course Additional Entry
Applicants must have completed a college or university course and been sufficiently involved in student theatre to indicate serious professional intent; or have adequate professional experience to meet the demands of the course; admission is by interview and practical work; applicants should have an undergraduate music qualification or similar and must be proficient in practical keyboard technique and sight'reading. The minimum entry age is 18 but, due to the experience necessary for this course, incoming students are usually aged 21 and over. There is no upper age limit. Applicants must be fluent English speakers.
