Course Introduction

The programme aims to develop competence and expertise in the field of health policy, planning and finance; students develop an understanding of the process of policy making, knowledge of key options in the policy, planning and financing of health services, an ability to use disciplines required in formulating, implementing and evaluating health policies and plans, and an understanding of the diversity of international health policies.

Course Additional Entry

Either 2nd Class Honours degree in science, economics, social sciences or related subject, or degree in medicine; applicants with appropriate technical qualification and work experience, or equivalent qualifications, are welcomed; some experience working in health sector or related fields is desirable; application is via London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
