Course Introduction

This programme is aimed at those who wish to develop their understanding of people and organisations. You will gain a broad knowledge base in occupational psychology and organisational behaviour. It focuses on discussions of current research, with the aim of encouraging you to engage in critical thinking and reflect on theory and practice. You will also acquire basic applied research skills.

Course Modules

You complete 8 taught modules; you will also complete a supervised independent applied research project. Core modules: Employee relations and motivation; leadership and performance management (RCP); learning and development; life career development; research methods; selection and assessment; understanding organizations and change; work and well'being; research project.

Course Additional Entry

A good honours degree, or equivalent, from a recognised university. Management development professionals and consultants without a first degree but with suitable professional qualifications and at least 5 or more years' significant management experience in a range of organisations may be considered. If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, the requirement for this programme is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 7.0, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub'tests.
