Course Introduction

Graduates of this course will have developed the knowledge, problem'solving skills and practical know'how of the key aspects of civil engineering, and the creativity and individuality of architecture. They often work in multidisciplinary design practices and provide a link between engineering and architecture professionals.

Course Modules

Year 1: Modules: design and practice; engineering mathematics and modelling; engineering principles; architectural engineering design principles with structures. Year 2: Modules: strength of materials; design of structural elements; geotechnics 1; 3D cad and building information modelling; architectural design procedures; architectural engineering field studies project. Year 3: Modules: project; structural analysis and structural design; forensic engineering and conservation; innovation and enterprise; geotechnics 2; architectural engineering design project.
