The LLB (Hons) at The City Law School provides students with the essential legal and academic skills to be successful in a law career. The City Law School is one of London's major law schools. Offering an impressive range of academic and professional courses, it is the first law school in London to provide courses for students and practitioners at all stages of legal education. With three levels of study ' undergraduate, postgraduate and professional ' there are courses for all interested in following a career in law no matter what stage they have already reached. The City Law School has an established student exchange programme with Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia, Montesquieu University, Bordeaux, France and universities in Poland, Toulouse, Moscow and Barcelona. The exchange programme gives students the opportunity to spend half of their third year studying a range of courses at one of these universities.
Year 1 and Year 2 core subjects: constitutional & administrative law; contract law; criminal law; equity & trusts; EU law; land law; tort law. In addition to the core legal subjects, the first year includes: an introduction to legal techniques; an introduction to key issues in the organisation of a legal system. Year 3: banking law; Canadian constitutional law; Canadian corporate law; city enterprise services; commercial & agency law; commercial property law; company law; competition law; criminal justice; employment law; evidence; family and child law; human rights law; immigration law; intellectual property law; international commercial arbitration; international criminal law; international economic law; Islamic law; justice, law and history; legal skills; maritime law; media law; public international law.
