Year 1: Biological chemistry; cell biology; molecular biology; proteins and enzymes; language classes; history and politics of (chosen country e.g. France). Year 2: Genes and genomics; integrative cell biology; protein structure and function I; protein structure and function II; language classes; science and technology in (chosen country e.g. France). Year 3: Research project; project in the foreign language on topic related to the country of stay. Final year: Modules include: Advanced topics in plant molecular biology; cellular signalling and neurobiology; damage and repair in biological systems; macromolecules in three dimensions; medical microbiology; stem cells, regeneration and ageing.
