The course covers the fundamentals of modern imaging methodologies, including their techniques and application within medicine and the pharmaceutical industry; plus the chemistry behind imaging agents and biomarkers.
Modules include: design of probes for imaging; positron emission tomography (PET); magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); optical imaging; image computation; ultrasound and microwave; introduction to cell biology and biochemistry; pharmacology of imaging.
Course Additional Entry
An Honours degree (2.1 or above) in a science, technology, engineering or medicine subject. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in all elements (or equivalent qualifications).
