Course Introduction

The course offers a broad look at many aspects of the media: sociological; economic; cultural; it invites students to think critically about the larger global media worlds of the present age; and about their own location in the mediated society in which we live; the coursework is exclusively theoretically based.

Course Modules

Core courses introduce students to media and communications theory; and enables students to develop and explore interdisciplinary perspectives on the study of contemporary cultural processes.

Course Additional Entry

1st degree of at least 2nd Class standard in a relevant discipline; graduates in unrelated fields considered subject to qualifying examination; non'native English speakers need a minimum score of 7.0 in IELTS; students encouraged to attend a pre'sessional course.
